Easter is one of my favorite holidays, flowers start sprouting, the weather starts to warm up and the whole family has another reason to get together for some delicious home cooked food. This year was no different my mother cooked as if she was feeding an army while my father watched the Masters on TV with the guys. Well almost all of the guys, Nik was in attendance of course and he just wanted to play especially with some suprise guests
These are the deer that have been feasting on my mother's garden for the past three years now, I'm not exactly sure where they came from but it's always neat when they decide to pop in and say hello. Needless to say Niks excitement scared them away (the photo of him above is him telling me that he saw the deer but didn't see any lions, haha- he cracks me up!) and it was time to distract him from utter disappointment so first we colored some eggs...
then we practiced our flying skills...
opened easter baskets...
and played a pretty intense game of ring toss...
It was a pretty good day filled with love, family and of course...food!
